How to wear blazer and denim shorts

Hello my lovelies,

If you are familiar with my blog, you know that for me fashion and style means combining pieces that we wouldn’t normally wear them together. This was also the main idea behind this outfit: you would not necessarily mix a pair of denim shorts, which are totally casual, with an elegant black blazer.

It is a street style outfit that is really appealing and will make you look fabulous, without trying too much.

What I like a lot about this look is that you can mix almost any shoes with it: high heels to rock your girls night out, sneakers, if you have to run some errands around the city, and even flats for an end of summer romantic walk with your love.

Being mid September, add a pair of combat boots and make it the perfect summer to fall transition outfit.

It is one of my favorite looks and I think that makes you look put together with items, that you have for sure in your dressing.

I remember that for me, going back to school it was always a great reason to go shopping and renew my wardrobe for the new season.

Even if it’s a long time since I graduated college (we are not even talking about high school because I’ll start to feel old haha), for today`s post I was thinking what I would wear if I had to go back to school now. Shirt-dress fever

Hello my lovelies,

In this spring-summer preferences, we find up top the shirt-dress: it’s casual, easy to wear and flattering for all the silhouettes.

They are basically a long button-down shirt, slightly oversized, it looks like a basic shirt (their upper half – sleeves and collar, gives them that semi-elegant look) but has the perfect length to be a dress.

When we are talking about styling shirt-dresses, I think that the shoes set the tone of the outfit and also the way you choose to accessorize it, depending the time of the day and the location.

Being a stylistically hybrid, the shirt-dress offers a lot of styling alternatives to the ones ready to go outside their comfort zone and play with it.

How are you wearing yours?

Powerful floral print suit

Hello my lovelies,

If we think about suits, usually the first thing that we say is business attire, dark colors, basically boring … but my dear, that has changed.

Starting with this spring, we started to see more and more suit-sets with powerful floral prints. I am totally digging the trend because it’s fun to wear and you can play with the blazer or the pants mixing them with other pieces.

When I saw this suit, I already imagined myself styling it in so many different ways.

The most simple way to wear this suit is adding a pair of stilettos, for that elegant – sophisticated look.

I also chose to go for a more unusual styling, and yes, I know that suits equal elegant, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t add a pair of sneakers, a white T-shirt and call it a day.

I put together for you also 2 looks, in which I incorporated the blazer and the pants with other items.

T-shirt: Drew

Shoes: Steve Madden

Accessories: H&M and Guess

Sunglasses: Miu Miu

Jeans: Zara

T-shirt: American Eagle

Shoes: Christian Louboutin

I felt in love with the location where I shot the last pictures of the look… don’t forget that love is everywhere and you might find it in the places where you least expect.

How to wear your sports bra outside the gym

Hello my lovelies,

One of the unexpected but popular trends that is going on right now, is wearing your sport bra outside the gym.

Creating outfits with your favorite sports bra, that are in a different zone than the actual sporty look, is not that difficult. A sports bra is basically a crop top that is tight, so start by styling it with non-athletic pieces.

When I started creating this outfit, I was thinking about pairing pieces that you wouldn’t normally put together: a sports bra with a flower print elegant high-heels, a pair of pants that they look like sweatpants but they are actually not and to complete the look, I added this cute, silky, light-weight bomber jacket.

I loved the summer-ish vibe of the final look and it got a lot of compliments during the photoshoot.

How do you feel about incorporating your sports bra in a everyday look?

Sport bra: Calvin Klein

Bomber Jacket: Zara

Pants: Zara

Heels: Steve Madden

Bag: Aldo

Blazer dress a.k.a tuxedo dress

Hello my lovelies,

I’ve been searching for months for the perfect blazer dress, without success. I finally came across this one and when I saw it on the shelf, I knew that it is coming home with me.

The blazer dress is not your usual girly-girl dress, is more of a girl-boss look because, in my opinion they inspire sophistication and attitude.

What I like the most about wearing blazer dresses is the fact that you don`t need to do much… in this case, less is more. I chose not to add any jewelry because I wanted the blazer to be the main focus of this outfit.

How to wear – Pleated mini skirt

Hello my lovelies,

Today I wanna talk about this very stylish, yet understated plated skirt with mini length cuteness, that will pull your ultimate cool-girl move.

This bottom piece is really eye-catching, because the pleats look just stunning, so I would wear them with something simple ( top, shirt, tank top) and let it be the focal point of your outfit.

They come in a variety of lengths and pleats styles, so I`m sure that you can find the perfect one for your body type.

I chose to wear my pleated mini skirt with a loose-fit shirt (I love the little pearl details on the back of it) and a pair of sneakers to go for a more sporty-chic look.

I wouldn’t see myself wearing this skirt with high heels, just because mine is pretty short and I think that the sneakers or a pair of flats will give you that dose of cuteness and innocence.

Skirt: American Apparel

Shirt: Zara

Belt: Bershka

Shoes: Converse

Fishnet fever

Hello my lovelies,

Fishnet stockings… who would believe that in every other Instagram post we will see one? I couldn’t believe what a huge comeback they had at the beginning of this year: from the big catwalks to street style.

I think that there are 2 ways you can approach fishnet stockings: one is to wear them as an accessory and let them peak out from under your distressed jeans, or wearing low-waisted pants, show a few inches of fishnet above your pants’ waistline. The second way is to let them be the main focus of your outfit: show them off with miniskirts and heavy boots or dresses and high heels.

I usually wear mine just as an accessory and let them be seen through the holes of my ripped jeans and pair them with some sneakers.

They look cool, and punk-ish and really really trendy… is there any downside to it? Unfortunately the answer is yes. Because fishnet stockings are a really tricky piece, if you want to mix them with a miniskirt or a dress, a good styling is important. Believe it or not, is pretty easy to go for that trendy high-fashion look and get that 90’s style stripper look. I’m sorry but I couldn’t find a nicer way to say it.

I still think that they are a fun piece to have in your closet and mix them as you desire.
