Glitter pants: ’tis the season to sparkle

Lately, I have to admit that I have a thing for sparkly pieces. It might be the season too, but this pair of glitter pants got me. I think that they are the perfect piece for the upcoming holidays.

glitter pants

They are basically a pair of coated jeans with sparkles on them.

This glitter pants are super easy to use in a holiday outfit. Just add a pair of high heels ( I actually tried them with a pair of black stilettos and it looks absolutely stunning), a nice top and you have a great holiday dinner outfit.

I’m not a fan of buying pieces that I know I would wear them once (and I would suggest you shouldn’t be either), so, in today’s post I want to show you a way to wear glitter pants in your everyday outfit.

The glitter pants are such a va va voom piece, so paired them with something simple. I chose this white sweater with a nice deep crop that shows your back for that little sexy touch.

When I added the animal print sneakers, I just saw the whole outfit coming together. They just go perfect with all the accessories and add a nice color contrast with the pants.

To be honest, this is my first animal print piece that I own. I always enjoyed seeing them on others, but I did’t find one to actually make me buy it for myself… until these sneakers.

It might be just the beginning of my animal print items, or I’ll stop right here…. I don’t even know.

So, this season let’s sparkle our pants off, girls!

Mastering mesh trend: dressed down mesh dress

The mesh trend it’s been around for some time already. In the beginning, we start seeing mesh tops everywhere, mixed in super cool outfits. Now, it’s time for another item to pop up: the mesh dress.mesh dress

Completely see through and worn as a long top, over shorts, jeans or leggings, the mesh dress gives you a mega urban look, but with a twist.

Usually, when we talk about the sheer style, or mesh trend, we automatically have a tendency to think about something elegant and sexy.

That is true, but what I like the most about the mesh items, is the fact that you can dress them down easily and add that nice discrepancy between the elements of your outfit.

Too add a pair of high heels with a mesh top or a mesh dress it is super predictable for my own taste. I’m not saying that is wrong, but I just like to add a little twist to any outfit: a pair of crazy socks, a brooch in an unusual place, sneakers with an elegant dress.

When we talk about mesh, I think that black is the safest option that radiates a sophisticated and sexy mood.

The mesh dress I’m wearing today is made out of 2 pieces: a simple black cotton dress that serves basically as the under layer for the see through mesh dress.

I love the midi length of this dress, as well as the shape of it. Honestly I like better dresses that have a loose shape because they give you a comfort that other dresses just don’t.

I chose a pair of booties, because I enjoyed the rock-ish look, but it can work as great too with a pair of white sneakers.

The exposure of layers in this outfit, creates more depth and makes your look more balanced and airy.

In the end my lovelies, You don’t need a tight dress to be sexy… everything comes from inside.

XoXo, OD.

Shades of blue: layered outfit

Hello my lovelies,

Layering is one styling trick, that if done correctly, can be super useful: it keeps us warm but still stylish during cold months.

Many of us are afraid to do a layered outfit, because we don’t want to look with at least a size bigger. But if you master this little styling trick, instead of making you look bigger, it will give the impression of a more proportional silhouette.

If you are born with some styling skills, layering is not a problem for you, but if you are not one of those, honestly, I don’t believe is so much about the skills and ingenuity. It’s more about having the right pieces and know a few layering rules.

The most important rule that you should consider to follow, is knowing that under layers must be fitted, in order to keep your shape looking slim.

When styling a layered outfit, I like to play with texture, because the mix of materials will make you avoid “a size bigger” look.

Before I moved to California, I was living in Eastern Europe, where winter is no joke. Basically, dressed up like an onion with a million layers on me.

So, let’s all be some stylish onions this winter (hahaha)

Floral Romper

Hello my lovelies,

I really enjoyed seeing girls wearing rompers, because they are a simple choice that you can`t go wrong with. We find them in all lengths, shapes, fabrics, patterns… girl, you have a big variety to choose from.

I wanted a short romper so, my only problem was that I couldn’t find one to fit me right and not make my feet look like two sticks ( I know they are not far from that, but still).

When I saw this cute romper at Zara, I could’ve bet that it will not work for me…well, I had a big surprise in the fitting room… I loved it. I like the flower pattern and the little ruffles on the shoulders. To run around the city, on a hot Cali summer day, I chose to wear it with a pair of flat sandals, but it will look as gorgeous with a pair of high heels for a night out.

I really hope that I can find more jumpsuits/rompers to fit me, because I enjoy their comfortability and the fact that you can create a sharp outfit with no effort.

If you choose a monochromatic romper you can definitely go heavy with the accessories, but if your romper has an interesting pattern, you will need very little accessorizing and your outfit is ready. Go and rock the day my dear!
